Have a business on Shopify? You can set up TXTFi in the time it takes to read this tutorial. Follow along!

Step 1:

The first step is easy. Install the TXTFi app through the Shopify store. You can do that here.

Step 2:

Connect your store. Set up your billing info.

Step 3:

Set your lead time, meaning how long it typically takes to process an order. Answer a few other questions, like:

  • Do you want us to calculate reminder time based on quantity ordered?
  • Should we pause items with low inventory?

Step 4:

Set the message text that your customers will get from our bot. Start with your intro.

It’ll look something like this. (In fact, feel free to use this template with your own customers, though it is, of course, customizable to your own needs):

Hi {first_name}. It’s TXTFi Bot from {merchant}. You ordered {item_name} from us about <frequency> days ago. Do you want to reorder it? We can do this over text!

From there, you can also set opt-in or out messages. Remember, users do have the ability to opt-out of these messages. For an opt-in, you can say something like:

Great, let me get your last order on file. You can then tell me what you would like to reorder.

For opt-out, you could say:

No problem. Thanks for letting me know. I hope you have a great day. Don’t hesitate to let us know if we can help any further.

Step 5:

From there, you select the products that you want to be eligible for text ordering. You can always add or change the products on this list anytime.

Step 6:

You’re done! Now sit back and watch as TXTFi will automatically look for any qualifying customers and schedule an SMS. Pretty neat, huh?
